Key Responsibilities:

-This position is accountable for the execution of storage management strategy across projects, application support teams, and infrastructure vendors.

-He or she is responsible for cross platform storage consumption profiling and capacity predictions.

-This position has overall ownership of physical and virtual storage configurations, and is accountable for both optimizing the environment for performance and to ensure its stability.

-Design, deploy and maintain complex storage systems (SAN, NAS, ISCSI)

-Responsible for the development, implementation, and strategy for open system storage globally.

-Manage the delivery of designs for SAN, Backup and Recovery, and Storage platforms from peers, and third party vendors

-Monitor and analyze the system to ensure effective usage of all phases of storage infrastructure, including but not limited to SAN configurations, logical and physical stripping, SVC virtualizations and IOPS optimization.

-Establish measurement processes that track space management allocation, usage, and reclamation opportunities.

-Track actual usage against applications and projects expected growth by storage tier.

-Define and monitor threshold-alerting mechanisms.

-Early detection of I/O degradation across tier, remediation, and identification of root cause.

-Profile by tier IOPS including bytes per I/O and tier criteria attainment.

-Provide 24x7 on-call storage support for all storage platforms on a rotational basis.

- Work in shift schedule.

Must Have Skills:

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology. -5+ years of progressively responsible,hands-on experience in IT.

-5+ years of hands-on experience in managing large SAN, NAS and ISCSI environments.

-Experience in EMC VPLEX, IBM SVC, HPE 3PAR, PURE technologies.

-Strong skills in Network Appliance, EMC, IBM, 3PAR and PURE storage platforms.

-in depth knowledge of director level Cisco and Brocade fiber channel switches

-Experience with Object and Cloud Storage technologies is a plus

-Proficient in Linux, Windows, and VMware administration and scripting

-Expertise in server behavior affecting Storage; Storage architecture concepts; Storage virtualization, local and datacenter replication practices

-Experience with backup solutions including Data Domain, Net Backup, and Tivoli Storage Manager.

-Previous experience working in a large matrixes organization.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills.

-Strong knowledge and experience of designing, developing and delivering complex technology solutions across Infrastructure Application Solutions.

-Practical experience in hands-on project implementations, project structure (both formal and informal), project life-cycle, and best practice project standards.

-Practical experience in the infrastructure technologies relevant for the support of application development, e.g. database, server, etc.

-Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with demonstrated understanding of complex principals and statistical theories.
