Position Summary –Network Engineer

Design, develop and maintain/enhance new network technologies or existing network support of the Network application stack, evaluate new/existing network standards, technologies to adapt them for variety of platform solutions.

Architectural design and documentation of the company's global network infrastructure, including corporate and e-commerce.

Responsible in preparing high level project design and test approaches, technology roadmaps for corporate and ecommerce communication platforms.

Designing, Implementing and troubleshooting security policies, VPN tunnels on Juniper SRX, Palo Alto appliances for external application vendors and internal application teams.

Deliver network documentation, and all typical design and architecture documentation of services and solutions for consumption by engineering, deployment, and operations teams.

Formulate and implement standards for network products and services with respect to monitoring and overall management, including but not limited to configuration management, lifecycle management, vulnerability management and process management for continual service improvement.

Responsible in conducting Yearly periodic reviews of systems to in line with PCI compliance by provisioning F5 Virtual IP’s to send data to SPLUNK monitoring tool.

Responsible for implementation of Gap Network in Data Center, WAN, E-Commerce, Stores, Distribution Centers and Corporate offices.

Implementing SDN WAN for Gap Retail and Corp Network.

Analyze and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in LAN/WAN networks for all Gap Inc corporate campuses.

Work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple Infrastructure disciplines and other stakeholders to gather and define requirements and objectives for which solutions are required to meet.

Responsible in Conducting root cause analysis for high severity incidents and engaging in on - call support to assist tier - 1, 2 operation teams in Troubleshooting and providing temporary/permanent fix.

Configuration and troubleshooting issues related to VPC on Nexus Switches and FEX.

Troubleshooting on Wireless connectivity issues on Cisco and Meraki platforms.

As part of Network Level 3 worked on fixing/adding/alteration of configuration on F5, during major outage.

As a part of daily operations, offloaded SSL certs for client VIP’s which are about to expire and new SSL Certs creations and modification.

Expertise knowledge working with Juniper platforms like MX, EX and SRX.

Leverage industry knowledge and experience to effectively plan and guide for install, configure and operate infrastructure hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points.

Includes partnering with multiple vendors for deploying New Monitoring, Application load balancing solutions for Gap Inc. network infrastructure.

Conduct research on Industrial Network products, solutions, services, which meets Industrial standards to remain abreast of developments in the technology industry and deploy them

Require at the minimum a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalency) in the field of Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
